The Morgan Horse Association (member of) has a program as well as others, but the ones that accept all breeds would be more interesting and challenging.

It's never too late...I bet the Mustangs would favor very well..since it would be like old home week for them...Momma Fargohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17625178164224513103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1219177937045620.post-2711632015537943842011-03-22T10:42:41.534-06:002011-03-22T10:42:41.534-06:00Loved to hear you post and I hear you about the mu...Loved to hear you post and I hear you about the mustang intellect. My boy does the whole regulating of the dude string too, although he never has noticed a cinch. that is pretty amazing.

I started training him one year, but he just didn't have the conformation or the will for endurance, so I abandoned the idea. It was a little boring too, as funny as that may sound.TjandMark/AKA PearlandHawkeyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01477324406425990084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1219177937045620.post-74357235251386198172011-03-22T10:22:22.915-06:002011-03-22T10:22:22.915-06:00Thanks for the big writeup, Juanita! :D If you w...Thanks for the big writeup, Juanita! :D If you weren't so busy with the lodge, I'd tell you to go for it - there are TONS of little old bionic ladies who can outride us "young" and "ablebodied" on any trail.

I *think* the kicking was just stage one of Dixie losing her mind because all the other horses! they're all moving around! are they leaving!? let go of me so I can leave with them! I try to remember to consider physical pain for any weird behavior, so it's always in the back of my mind.

I've never taught Dixie to tail! I really should, I'm running out of excuses for why I haven't. ;)

Mustangs sound amazing. Maybe one day I'll really be good enough to work with one, and I'll find a gaited mustang.Funderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06358687366401205336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1219177937045620.post-68090162651732198702011-03-22T09:50:52.865-06:002011-03-22T09:50:52.865-06:00I've never heard of "tailing up". I haven't really fantasized about the endurance rides, but I have friends with Arabs who do. I'm thinking you should try to carve out some time to give it a try--especially since you're now the "bionic woman". You may regret it if you don't. :)Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14303523299217618526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1219177937045620.post-39762721272070436282011-03-21T22:32:36.706-06:002011-03-21T22:32:36.706-06:00I can usually stop Ranger from walking away from m...I can usually stop Ranger from walking away from me by grabbing his tail. I heard a lady DJ on one of our country/western radio stations talking about how she unloads her horse from her 2 horse straight load by pulling on her horse's tail. I'm not convinced it's a good idea to pull a horses tail no matter what, though.

BillAllenspark Lodgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06390004633731055728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1219177937045620.post-46143265958369274542011-03-21T17:04:31.374-06:002011-03-21T17:04:31.374-06:00Heeey!
