Reba, our lodge dog in training will take a squeeky toy in mouth and squeek it for hours at a time. At least it seems that way. Some toys are forbidden when we have guests in the lodge, and there are a couple of them that will never, and I mean never be allowed in the car with us. Never ever.
But other than that, she is settling in nicely as a lodge dog. She is greeting people at the door and graciously excepting scratches and pets from our guests.
We hope to be able to introduce her to our horses next week.

AW. She is a doll. I really can't wait to meet her. Oh, and see you and Juanita, too. LOL. I am one of those really lucky ones. My dogs shred the squeakers out in 30 minutes or less.
ReplyDeleteWe have 2 dogs that are 13 months old and weigh more than 70 lbs each (black lab/swiss mtn dog mix) and one of them looooves to play with squeaky toys. She'll play with them for a couple of hours and then she'll destroy the toy and try to play with the squeaker bulb, which no longer squeaks at that point. We have yet to find a toy that can't be destroyed by them. Except those rubber rawhide type ones and they don't like them. Firgures.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new dog. She looks to be settling in nicely and hopefully she won't misbehave around the horses.
