I'm glad Bill has such a good sense of humor! Today's ride was FANTASTIC from my point of view, but my other horse, Jesse, is what started the above video. She was feeling super and when the merest thought of going quicker crossed my mind, she broke into the smoothest Mustang Shuffle/running walk and we were off - apparently so much so that poor Washoe couldn't keep up in the trot and decided to canter (on his own) and sort of 'forgot' the slow down command. Needless to say, Bill fixed that pretty quick; he was soon back to his senses. Ah, spring fever. Bionic Cowgirl
I LOVE that classic Looney Tunes! I used to have a horse like thY; I enjoyed 22 wonderful years with him, but it did take me about 6 to come to a "whoa" compromise that was acceptable to both of us!

Washoes been acting up lately, huh?
ReplyDeleteUp, down, AND sideways. But only enough to be irritating, not so much dangerous.

ReplyDelete"A trespasser! Leaving little footie prints all over my desert!"
DeleteI'm old. I think Bugs Bunny and the whole Looney Tunes gang were the peak of western civilization.

Oh boy, that gave me the giggles. Big time!
