Queen Estes showing off her 'tips' |
Tonight when I went to feed we had had a couple hours of heavy fog - so I found frosty horses. The 'browns' looked like they had been to the beauty shop and had their hair 'tipped'. I hear it's supposed to be back in the 60's in a couple of days, after tomorrow's expected snow, of course. Just gotta love Colorado weather!
May as well do the mane, too. |
Back to trip planning. We are headed out on a horse camping vacation soon and I can't think straight; too excited to be traveling again. We haven't done any major trips in about two years - and the horses get to go with us - so it seems like I've forgotten how to do this anymore. I'm going through totes of camping gear, trying to decide what to leave at home! At least the animals are ready. Sophie Dog just got all her shots and a good well-vet check. The horses just got their negative coggins report and health certs; the trailer is finally current on plates. Now if I can just get the humans ready.
And to top off the excitement, we have some good blogger friends coming to visit soon! What a great way to transition to cool weather.
